Frou Frou - is neither French nor frivolous.

Imogen Heap or Immi as she calls herself has the most exquisite and ravishing voices of recent times. She reminds me of Liz Frazer actually but I wouldn't compare the two because both have their own exquisite voices. Immi sighs, pants, wails, gets breathless and sings.……..

As for Guy Sigsworth, he looks better on "Breathe In" video than the album sleeve. He has collaborated with Seal, Bjork and Madonna on "What It Feels Like For a Girl" (which incidentally is my favourite from the "Music" CD, anyone got the Spanish version she sang on the HBO concert?) Both Guy and Immi has formed an unlikely duo.

Their CD "Details" has filled my life ever since I purchased it and I have not got tired of it yet. It has been an inspiration even at work where the music just drowns out the rest of the world and truly inspires in the most tense and crucial times. I wrote one of the best reports to the Executive Vice President whilst listening to it and it came out just perfect!!

I first heard of Frou Frou whilst having one of those TV dinners……the MTV was on and when "Breathe In" appeared on TV, it just caught my ears and eyes. The video had scenes of New York or somewhere in the States that made me kind of skeptical because the music is too eclectic to be from the US!

Well, true enough Frou Frou is British - both Immi and Guy are from England. I fell in love immediately with "Breathe In" and got on the net and found out more. By the next day I got the CD in hand and that was the beginning of my love affair with "Details" until today. The album was released in July in the UK and should be out Stateside by now. It is a classic CD in that the music doesn't tire you, it grows on you and every time you listen to it, you pick up new nuances or lyrics that you never noticed before.

All songs are gems and it is perfect poetry in motion. If you can imagine Nadia Comaneci performing a perfect 10 on the parallel bars, this CD feels like it. It is easy to the ears but it has so much complexity and depth to its repertoire, that you may take it for granted.
