BELLE AND SEBASTIAN GO CHARITABLE

Nov 23, 2001

Belle and Sebastian will play a charity concert for the Red Cross at Glasgow's QMU on December 20, NME.com reveals. Curiously enough, the Red Cross had not been informed of the show, but very unlikely will they complain! Tickets will be available for £10 from Way Ahead, 0141 339 8383.

In the meantime, Belle & Sebastian are to release a new single entitled "I'm Waking Up To Us" worldwide on November 26th. The EP also features "I Love My Car" - featuring the Uptown Shufflers, who will be familiar to all those who attended any of the band's Scottish shows of this year - and the previously unheard "Marx and Engels". The title track was co-produced with Mike Hurst (former production credits include Petula Clark, Cat Stevens, Shakin' Stevens, Sam Fox).
