Ever wondered what Roddy Frame and Ed Collins have been up to recently?

The South Bank Centre in London recently staged the festival "The Song's The Thing" between 22-30 September, 2001. The festival showcased many great singers and a range of wonderful voices, which was primarily aimed at celebrating the art and craft of song WRITING.

A broad spectrum of artists, touching on all areas of the songwriting genre, featuring concerts, workshops and special collaborations were brought together whereby classic performers mingled with the hottest new talent. These include Badly Drawn Boy, Heather Small, Danny Thompson, Roddy Frame, Edwyn Collins, Lamont Dozier, Embrace, Damage, Jane Siberry, Susheela Raman, Tama and many others.
