of Scotland's T In The Park festival have bowed to fan pressure by adding
The Proclaimers to the bill.
The Reid twins will play the festival's second stage on Saturday, July 7.
The promoters asked them to appear after scores of fans posted requests on the festival website.
It will be the first time The Proclaimers have played T In The Park, which this year is based at Balado.
Fans of the group started to post requests for them to be booked for the festival after their performance in front of 50,000 football fans at Hampden Park.
Geoff Ellis of DF Concerts says: "With 90 per cent of the 50,000 people who come to the festival each day being Scottish, although The Proclaimers have received acclaim throughout the world, there's no doubt their first festival performance in Scotland in seven years will be a special one."
The Proclaimers' new album, Persevere, is released on May 22.
