TEENAGE FANCLUB AND THOSE USELESS GUITARS
March 17, 2001

Teenage Fanclub are about to play a show without any guitars. Guitarist Raymond McGinley told NME that the band are going to play the London Camden Underworld three nights in a row, from April 17 to April 19. The first of the three shows will be 'normal', second acoustic and the third probably totally electronic. McGinley said: ": "We've been trying to think of a way to do something a bit different with three shows in the same place. We started thinking that we could do one normal show. Then someone asked us to do an acoustic show. So we thought we'd do one with electric guitars, and one with acoustic guitars, and so then we thought it'd be good if we could do it with no guitars." The band have not worked out yet how to perform their new electronic set, but said to be confident of putting a great gig on quite soon. "It's not gonna be a laugh", said McGinley, who said that Fanclub will work on the new setlist song by song. Tickets are priced £10.
