MOGWAI have recruited DEFTONES frontman CHINO MORENO to add vocals to a new track.

According to a posting on the band's official website, www.mogwai.co.uk, the Scottish outfit decided to ask Moreno to contribute to a song they recorded while working on their forthcoming LP, 'Rock Action', after reading in NME that the Deftones vocalist was a fan.

The working title of the in-progress song is 'Cortez' though no release date has been set.

In other business, Mogwai have announced that support for their European tour will be Icelandic outfit Mum for the Danish and Swiss shows and Bardo Pond for all other dates.
